SG Access are proud to have been involved with National Geographic Channels recent series 'Worlds Toughest Fixes'. Presenter Sean Riley, an experienced rigger and SPRAT Level 3 himself, worked with our team as we performed work on one of the 'Worlds Toughest Fixes', The Dehumidification Programme on The Forth Road Bridge. The team also aided the with filming & camera crew to ensure absolute safety.

In association with Noonan Services, a 13 strong SG Access team, used industrial rope access techniques, to safely & efficiently tackle the mammoth task of cleaning the white steelwork beams and jetwashing the external plexiglass shell of the prestigious new Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Our thanks to Noonan, and especially to our guys on the SG team for all their effort on a deadline - a challenging job well done.

As part of the cable dehumidification process on the Forth Road Bridge, SG Access was asked to install sensory equipment and data cables in seventy-eight positions on the Bridge, so that engineers can measure the temperature, humidity, pressure and flow of air being blown through the main suspension cables all over the bridge. The project was successfully finished under time and under price.

Brought in as work at height specialists to erect the top sections of the tallest Flare Stack in the UAE, experienced SG Access IRATA personnel performed the assembly of the final four derrick modules to complete the structure of the new flare stack near Abu Dhabi, from 130 meters - 176 meters, ensuring the completion of the project with safety and efficiency at the critical juncture of the installation.

The first time that Rope Access had ever been used on this site, SG Access were taken on at Sellafield Nuclear Power station to remove dangerous light fittings that had not been touched since the 1950s, and to confirm that the lighting system was electrically disconnected. The job was brought in ahead of time and under projected cost, with several safety issues overcome during the course of works.

SG Access personnel carried out high level window cleaning on the CCD (Convention Centre Dublin). In association with Noonan Services, the project involved interesing and demanding access challenges which had to be overcome by SG Access IRATA operatives in order to complete the works safely and effectively. Using Industrial Rope Access techniques to gain access to areas where other access methods couldn't reach, SG Access Solutions Ltd rope access technicians installed aluminium cladding to the external facade of the new development in Western Harbour. The works proceeded safely and efficiently (and afforded the team some great panoramic views).

SG Access had the pleasure of working on the Highland Club, the original Fort Augustus, performing work at height tasks on the historic building on the banks of Loch Ness. Using industrial rope access techniques, the team were afforded access to areas that traditional access methods couldn't reach, allowing maintenance tasks to be carried out quickly and effectively with minimum impact on the structure or surroundings.

What started from a simple gutter maintenance enquiry, soon saw SG Access performing extensive maintenance along almost the full length, both sides of of Maritime Street, Edinburgh. From vegetation removal, pointing, cleaning and stone work, to roofing maintenance, bird prevention, gutter cleaning and repairs and facade maintenance, the domestic team have given the whole street a much needed fix and facelift.

In preparation for forthcoming works on the Dropped Object Canopy installation on the North Tower of the Forth Road Bridge, SG Access installed fall arrest netting below the road deck to act as an additional layer of safety below works. Custom designed for this installation, the made to measure safety netting will be serviced and inspected regularly while in place for the duration of the DOC installation project.

In November 2009 a six-strong SG Access team went to the North of Scotland to perform the scheduled cleaning of high steelwork in a plant in Inverness. Our rope access team has since been back there to perform similar work at height in another building that was inaccessible by conventional means. SG Access were commended for their proactive attitude to health and safety on site.
